Karena kompleksitasnya dan berbagai peran yang terlibat, akan lebih mudah membagi Procure to Pay menjadi dua sub-proses utama:
Pengaturan berikut perlu dilakukan sebelum menjalankan proses tersebut:
- Employee
- Overtime Rules
- Business Partners (Vendors & Suppliers).
- Tac Rate
Products perlu dikonfigurasi sebelum permintaan pembelian (purchase requisition) diterbitkan. Setiap produk yang dibeli harus memiliki harga dalam daftar harga pembelian (purchase price list) agar dapat dipilih pada dokumen transaksional seperti purchase order atau purchase invoice.
